Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët church was built in the 19th century by Canon Amboise Carnet, who wanted a church worthy of his parish.
It was designed by Nicolas Théberge, an architect from Normandy, on the site of the Château de Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët.
Burnt down in June 1944, it is one of the symbols of the town's reconstruction.
A tour flyer is available from the Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët tourist information office.
