By bus

Several buses serve the Mont Saint-Michel. There are both regular public lines and private lines available.

Regular lines

  • If arriving by train, buses from Pontorson (the closest station, 9 km away) offer two stops at Mont Saint-Michel: the first at the stop named “Le Mont Saint-Michel” (formerly “La Caserne”), and then at the Terminus, located just 350 m before the entrance to the village of Mont Saint-Michel.

Pontorson – Mont Saint-Michel bus timetable: from April 19th to October 13th 2024.

  • From Rennes train station, a Kéolis bus takes me every day to the public lines’ terminus, close to the shuttle place and the Tourist Information Centre.
  • Line 8 of the Normandy NOMAD Network also serves Mont Saint-Michel from Granville and Avranches. I can get on the free shuttle « Le Passeur » which runs every day.

By coach

I’m arriving by coach with my group, where should we plan to park?

The P7 car park is accessible for coaches.

Collect your ticket from the entrance of the car park, and keep it safe.

After your visit, pay to exit at the automatic cash registers. The parking price includes the shuttle bus and the Tourist Information Centre services: toilets, baby-changing area, and information. Ticket prices are renewed every 24 hours.

Signs indicate where to board the free shuttle bus, “le Passeur”, which transports passengers to Mont Saint-Michel at least from 7.30 am to 11 pm.

(Outside of these hours, shuttles can be requested by phone on +33 (0)2 14 13 20 15).
